I have received many inquires about CFM Plus products, especially on their Intake Manifolds. Take for instance the 2003-2007 6.0L FordPowerstrokes. The intake manifolds come with a 3 1/2" opening and 3 ports available for you to drill and tap. In requires that you currently use a 3 1/2" intercooler hose/pipe on your truck. If you do not, you will need to select a Large Mouth Kit that comes with a bent 3 1/2" steel pipe. This product includes an installation manual and all required hardware for mounting.
Some of the benefits you will find is a 5-7% increase in horsepower. In an independent dyno test that was conducted, it showed an increase of 57hp.
As far as the EGT's are concerned, there is no exact number, however, based upon feedback from customers that said that you can expect a 50-75 degree F drop and there was even a report of up to a 100 degree F temperature drop.
The fuel savings you can expect is between 5-7% as a direct result of the added air flow and the cooler air flow.
