5.9L Dodge Cummins P-Pump Conversion Build PART 2

Engine Out 5.9L Dodge Cummins

OC DIESEL continues with the high performance diesel motor build converting a VP44 truck to a P-Pump.  First thing is first...and that is to remove the old 5.9L completely and begin cleaning up the old carcass located in the engine compartment.  Next, as the motor is tore down, we noticed that the cylinder sleeves and pistons don't look to bad for for having almost two hundred and fifty thousand miles on them.  But they are of no use anymore because it is all going to be replaced.  The engine block and cylinder head will get magnafluxed and move on to machining.

This 2500 2WD 5.9L Cummins is seriously getting the whole enchilada and Ben, the owner of this truck, is very excited with progress made so far.  OC DIESEL will keep an up-to-date posting of this build.  In the meantime, if you have any questions or input feel free to make a comment on this post or Facebook us!
